Case-Based Learning (CBL) in Chemistry Learning: A Systematic Review

The implementation of Case-Based learning in chemistry has grown rapidly the last ten years. To find trends and issues application case-based learning, a systematic review is needed. This study aims to analyze types CBL forms cases used learning. research method articles published Scopus journal obtained from database for 10 years (2011-2021). Search using titles, abstracts, or keywords that meet logical conditions (“Case-Based Learning”) (“Case Method”) (“Chemistry”). population this was 200 sample 93 articles. findings showed model syntax includes four (4) stages, namely: Case Orientation (determining object be tested), Peer Instructions (choosing are relevant being studied), Review (building initial theory reviewing literature), Evaluation (collecting, organizing data, analyzing data developing conclusions). presents complex form factual news related essence problem context story descriptions integrates information sources solve cases. percentages analyzed were 32% PBI, 31% PBL, 30% PJBL. Thus, it can concluded implemented three (3) approaches, namely Inquiry-Based Learning, Problem Based Project-Based Learning
